Fayne can issue completion certificates for your courses. You enable certificates on the courses you want them for, and from then on Fayne issues a certificate automatically whenever a student finishes the course, with no manual action from you.

Turning on certificates

Certificates are off by default and enabled per course. In a course’s settings, turn on completion certificates for that course. Once enabled, every student who completes the course receives a certificate automatically.
Because certificates are per course, you can offer them on your flagship courses and leave them off on shorter or introductory ones.

How certificates work

When certificates are enabled for a course, completion triggers the certificate. A course is considered complete when a student has finished all of its published lessons. At that point:
  1. Fayne generates a certificate branded with your academy’s identity.
  2. The certificate becomes available to the student in their dashboard.
  3. The student can download or share it.
You do not need to approve or manually issue anything. For courses with certificates enabled, the process is fully automated.
Certificates display your academy name, the course title, the student’s name, and the completion date. The branding reflects your academy identity, so students see your name, not Fayne’s.

What triggers completion

A course is marked complete when the student has finished all published lessons in it. Unpublished lessons do not count toward or against completion. If you add new lessons to a course after a student has already completed it, their completion status is not retroactively changed. Students who complete the expanded course after the new lessons are published will receive a fresh certificate.
Resetting a student’s progress for a course (from the student detail panel under the Enrollments tab) lets them retake the course, but it does not revoke a certificate they already earned. If you want to remove a certificate, revoke it directly from the Certificates tab in the student detail panel.
