If you run Facebook or Instagram ads, the Meta Pixel tells Meta what people do after they click: who visits your academy, who signs up, and who buys. Meta uses that to report your results and to show your ads to people who are more likely to convert. You add your Pixel ID once, and your academy sends the events for you. There is no code to paste into your pages.

Set it up

1

Find your Pixel ID

In Meta Events Manager, open Data sources and select your pixel. The Pixel ID is the long number shown with it, usually 15 or 16 digits.
2

Open Sell > Settings

In your owner dashboard, open Sell and click Settings in the sidebar.
3

Turn on Meta Pixel

Under Ad tracking, turn on Meta Pixel and paste your Pixel ID. It saves automatically when you click away or press Enter.
If you copied Meta’s whole setup code instead of just the number, paste it anyway. Fayne picks the Pixel ID out of the fbq('init', ...) line for you.

What your academy sends

These are Meta’s standard events, so you can pick them directly when you set up a campaign. Choose Purchase to optimize for sales, or CompleteRegistration to optimize for signups to a free course. Because Purchase carries the amount paid, Meta can also report your return on ad spend. Each purchase is counted once. If a buyer refreshes their receipt page, Meta does not receive a second Purchase.

Check that it works

1

Open Test events

In Meta Events Manager, select your pixel and open Test events.
2

Visit your academy

Open your academy in another tab and click around. Each page should appear in Test events as a PageView within a few seconds.
You can also install the Meta Pixel Helper extension for Chrome. It shows which events a page sends while you browse your academy.

Good to know

  • Only on your academy. The pixel loads on your academy’s pages (your subdomain or custom domain), never in your owner dashboard.
  • One pixel per academy. If you run several academies, each one has its own setting, so each can report to a different pixel.
  • Invited members. People you invite yourself don’t trigger CompleteRegistration. The event counts people who sign up on their own, which is what your ads bring in.
  • Some events go missing. Ad blockers and some browser privacy settings stop the pixel from loading. A buyer who closes the tab before the receipt page loads is not counted as a Purchase in Meta, even though their payment went through. Your sales numbers in Sell → Transactions are always complete.
  • Privacy and consent. The pixel shares visitor activity with Meta. Depending on where your visitors live (for example in the EU or UK), you may need their consent and a privacy notice that mentions Meta. You are responsible for meeting those requirements for your academy.

Common questions

Open Sell → Settings and turn off Meta Pixel. Your academy stops loading it right away.
Not yet. Events are sent from the visitor’s browser by the pixel. If server-side tracking matters for your campaigns, let us know through support.
