Put Gemini to Work in Gmail, Docs and Sheets

The email, the document and the spreadsheet you need help with are already open. The assistant is in there with them, which means the copying and pasting was never necessary.

Most people meet Gemini in a second browser tab, describe the thing on their other screen, paste the answer back, and fix the parts that do not fit. The panel inside Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Drive starts from what you already have open, so the describing step disappears and the time goes into the asking instead.

The course runs the real jobs end to end: catching up on a forty-message thread before you reply, drafting a proposal from your own past files, getting a working formula into a cell by describing the result, letting Gemini change the sheet with your permission, and making an image where it is going to sit. It is as honest about the limits: which plan carries which app, why a clean-looking number from a messy column is the most expensive thing a spreadsheet can hand you, and the three ways a list of sources can be wrong. Every plan, button name and click path was checked against Google's own pages in October 2026.

You practise on real material along the way: four vague asks to aim, a client's 312-row export to get three answers out of, and an explanation of what the assistant can and cannot see.
