ChatGPT now has a mode that does the task for you: it opens websites in its own browser, fills in forms, builds the spreadsheet and stops when it needs you. Most people who pay for it have never handed it an errand.

The old agent mode is gone. Its job moved into Work, which sits beside Chat on paid plans and can keep going after you close the laptop. That raises three practical questions nobody answers in one place: which jobs belong in Work and which belong in a chat or a deep research run, what it will and will not do on a website where you are signed in, and where it stops to ask before money or a booking changes hands.

This course answers them on ChatGPT as it works today. You route real errands, brief one so it comes back right the first time, play through a booking where a website tries to give it instructions, and set a task to run on its own every week. Every plan, setting and limit was read on OpenAI's own help pages in October 2026.

You walk away with one errand you no longer do by hand, and a clear line between what you hand over and what stays with you.

Who it's for

Owners and managers on a paid ChatGPT plan: already chat with it every day and want it to finish the work as well.

Anyone who books, compares and fills in forms for a living: suppliers, venues, travel, quotes, renewals.

Anyone nervous about letting AI near an account: wants to know exactly where it asks before it acts.
