# Preview your academy

> See the academy as all students, an audience, or a specific student.

Select **Preview** in the owner sidebar to open your academy inside the real student layout. Use it before publishing or sharing a link to check branding, navigation, courses, lessons, offers, and access.

## Choose who you are previewing as

Use the picker in the top bar to choose:

* **All students** for the general catalog and access rules
* A **Segment** to check rules for a matching audience
* A **List** to check access granted through that List
* A specific **student** to include that person's current access and course progress

This is useful when one person can open a course and another cannot.

## What you can inspect

Move through the preview just as a student would:

* Home and Courses
* Course details and published lessons
* Locked-course messages and ways to get access
* Offer product pages and prices
* My Learning, Achievements, Saved, and Feed
* Light, dark, or system appearance
* The Learning Assistant, when enabled

<Note>
  Preview uses your saved and published content. If a draft change is missing, publish that lesson, offer page, or home page first.
</Note>

## Safe preview behavior

Purchases and free claims do not run in Preview, so nothing is charged and no access is granted. The Learning Assistant preview is also separate: its chat is not saved and students do not see it.

## If Preview is unavailable

Preview pauses when your Fayne subscription is locked. Open **Settings > Billing** and reactivate a plan. Your content remains saved while the academy is paused.
